Jet Li from a Fan Perspective

Jet is like a modern day Bruce Lee in the fact that he is the closest Kung Fu legend to have the impact that Bruce did.

He is similar to Bruce in the sense that Jet is also a contemplative person. He started his film career in China and became a star there first, and then, came to America and blew up here.

I believe Li's success has been under appreciated because of Jackie Chan's success.But that's ok because they both bring something different and there's always room for more.

Jet is different in the sense that even the work that he's doing now he's getting better.

He still does a lot of period piece films in China and they are always improving. He doesn't just do Hollywood films. He keeps it real going back to China to work. It's a balance that he has.

I do like his American films though. Two of my favorites are "Unleashed" and "Kiss of the Dragon".

After Jet li "Fearless" there was a rumor about him not making period piece films anymore.

Let's hope that Jet Li keeps kickin.
