Donnie Yen's fighting skills are beautiful

There is no doubts nowadays that Donnie Yen is indeed, one of the best action actor in the universe. Why? I don't really need to explain all of his successful life. Watching his movies will justify for you. However, I have to say that his fighting choreographs are fantastic and realistic. To those who does not see it knows nothing about martial arts. I gotta say that I wasn't a big fan of Donnie Yen too until I started to learn martial arts and study its elements, ideals and philosophies. Then I start going back and watch all these random martial arts films featuring Sammo Hung, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Tony Jaa, Yuan Biao, Yuan Wah, etc. What I realized the most is that Donnie Yen's fighting are more of modern type which actually have more advantage when fighting big people. Jackie Chan, Jet Li and the other is nothing compared to Donnie BUT Sammo Hung is because Hung is also a good fighter. Anyway, I wouldn't even wanna see Donnie Yen to go to Hollywood and make films there because I don't want him to look stupid like Jackie Chan and Jet Li. He is just the "IT" today. That's all I gotta say. |
