Female kung fu Title? Sword hidden in wooden staff...

Used to love this one film where a girl travels with her mom as vagrants and must bury her mom and was told to burn the staff her mom carried around and it turns out there is a sword within and the girl is from a wealthy family (an Asian Anastacia of sorts). She must train and avenge her family or some nonsense. Does anyone know the title?
