What in the world were you thinking??? Mr.Josh Koscheck (Sounds better if you sing it, think “Oh Christmas tree”).
I’m not quite sure at this point but I’m pretty sure its safe tosay that his last decision was an extremely poor one. If you haven’t guessed which “Decision” I’m referring to it’s the one where he decides to go all “Rocky Balboa” on the UFC and take a fight against arguably the best MMA fighter on the planet (and maybe of all time) in his own backyard.
To me this made LeBron’s “The Decision” look like the greatest idea since man created “The Wheel of Fortune!”(I love that show, Vanna is like 167 years old and still looks great! Ok fine I don’t watch it and have no idea whether Vanna is still alive).
I mean seriously what did you think was going to happen? Didyou think you were going to go into Montreal and shock the worldwhile also winning over an entire nation of St. Pierre disciples???
(Remember he is more popular than Jesus out there in the land of the Mounties).
Not sure what was worse, you fighting Pierre in his hometown or you claiming that George wouldn’t stand up with you only to have your brains boxed in like silly putty for 5 rounds?
Take your pick.
Now I will give Josh Koscheck some credit, He did take his ass whippin’ like a man and was very gracious in defeat in front of an entire nation (although I could’ve sworn I spotted a Josh Koscheck fan in section 2000 row 367).
Maybe there’s a lesson to be learned here. Maybe Josh Koschecktaught the rest of the MMA world an invaluable lesson. Neverattempt to fight the best in the world on there own turf.
Look at it this way, I can almost guarantee that the next time Andersen Silva defends his belt it will NOT be in front of his home crowd in Brazil. His next opponent will need every single advantage he can get to stand a chance (whomever that may be).
I guess my point is this is not a sport for noble fantasy or anylevel of naivety. No fighter should think for a second that theycould hop into Fedor Emelianenkos backyard in Russia and walkout unscathed (unless of course you’ve managed to break into hiscompound and sneak by his KGB super agents and managed tosteal one of his belts, not including the strike force heavyweight bull$^!% title he lost to Fabricio Verdum).
Next time you future MMA studs are fighting for achampionship remember one thing…. Your ass better be fighting in Vegas.
