Looking for a title of Kung-Fu movie aired on Kung-Fu Theatre on USA Network

Hi,

I'm looking for the title of an old Kung-Fu movie that aired on USA's Kung-Fu Theatre in the 80's.

I haven't seen this since the mid 80's so I'm a bit sketchy on the details so bear with me. Excellent storyline here. The plot is basically about three really good friends and the corruption of one as he becomes a powerful ruler or politician. Somehow or another he gains entree into politics or a kingdom, breaks away from his buddies, and slowly becomes a changed, corrupt man through his political power and renown. The other two guys are slow to catch on to the changes and stay in touch with him but finally it's clear and he becomes an adversary of his old friends. The film ends in a final showdown between him and his old friends.
