About Me

I guess this is a website I was destined to create. Growing up in Detroit, one of my pastimes was going to the movies downtown and watching three Martial Arts movies for a $1.50. I could remember sitting in the theatre at the end of a movie eating popcorn, watching the hero doing a move so sweet I would jump out of my chair cheering and talking about how cool that move was.

My friends and I would be in the streets imitating martial arts stars like Bruce Lee, and Jackie Chan for days.

At home, in my basement, I would practice different fight styles like the praying mantis or the snake style then I would go outside the next day and train with my friends.

You could say I was the Bruce Leroy in the neighborhood and I was going to make us our own Martial Arts movie.

We never made any martial arts movies, but we sure had fun back in the day doing flips and KungFu moves all during the summer. Those were great times.

Why Kung fu Movies? Because, it allows me to go back to those great memories.

I’m a lot older now, and there was a time when I had forgotten all about it. But a few years ago I was at a video store and bought an old Jet Li movie that was one of my favorites. Then I ended up watching "Enter the Dragon" on one of those Direct TV Channels. You can guess what happened next. I was hooked again. So, my wish is to share some of the same excitement that I experienced when watching these KungFu Legends.

I hope that this Fansite becomes a community of fans discussing and sharing their love and insights on their favorite Martial Arts movies and Martial Arts movie stars!

How this Site came About ?

This web site was created because of the love I have for Classic Martial Arts Movies, plus the passion I have for owning my own business, and being my own Boss.

For years I had been looking for an avenue I could use to do something I love, and to be able to provide for myself with it. I have a degree in web design but they never taught me how create a business.

Besides that, my passion was not ‘designing’ websites and working for others. However, I didn’t want to waste what I learned from school.

So it was a big ‘Aha” moment when I realized I could build a website based on a topic I have passion for and possibly earn income while doing it.
