" The Magnificent Butcher ", Sammo chopping it up big with Magnificent movie.

I also enjoyed the appearance of Kwan Tak Hing who plays Wong Fei Hung in this classic. He demonstrates why he is the man when it comes to Kung Fu on the screen.

Even at an old age he is still able to do things that amaze me. I ‘m going to use Hing as an example of how well in shape I would like to be when I get older.

I like the scene when Wong Fei Hung is writing calligraphy and is challenged by the teacher of a rival school called Five Dragons, Master Ko. Ko is infuriated that Wong Fei Hung would allow one of his students to bully others.

So he pays Wong Fei Hong a visit only to be embarrassed by Wong’s marvelous display of Kung Fu combat that is reminiscent of Michael Jordon playing basketball against a High school player. At the end Master Ko is taught a deeper level of respect.

Another character, a homeless drunken Kung Fu master played by Fan Mei Sheng is great in this movie. He join forces with Sammo to help him take revenge and defeat the Master Ko who also wants revenge.

His Kung Fu skills are full of cool tricks and smooth timing that supports the genius of this movie. "The Magnificent Butcher" is a great movie full of great fight scenes and comedy relief.

The acting is good which makes easy to watch without fast forwarding to just the fight scenes. (which I do a lot with other movies) This movie I can say is worth putting in your Kung Fu dvd's collection.
